Myers - Rhodes
NASHVILLE — Stephanie Dawn Rhodes and Dustin Earl Myers exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony on Sept. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Plantation with pastor Bill Rose officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy Stephen and Suzanne Williams Rhodes of Goldsboro, and the granddaughter of Peggy Rhodes and the late Bobby Lou Rhodes of Goldsboro and Malcolm and Sabena Ann Uzzell of Goldsboro, as well as the late Roy Garland Williams Jr. and Marion Gray Hinson.
She is a 2006 graduate of Rosewood High School, a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College and December 2011 graduate of Campbell University.
The groom is the son of Durwood Earl and Sylvia Parker Myers of Smithfield and the grandson of David Earl and Peggy Myers of Smithfield and Flossie Parker and the late Wilson Parker of Smithfield. He is the great-grandson of Lillie Williford of Smithfield.
He a 2005 graduate of Princeton High School. He is employed at Bridgestone-Firestone in Wilson.
The bride was escorted by Timothy Rhodes and given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Rhodes.
She wore an ivory taffeta ball gown with a form fitting bodice featuring a dropped waist and all over ruching. Cascading floral appliques shaped the breathtaking skirt. Pearls and crystal beads embellished the floral appliques. The bride wore an ivory chapel length veil to compliment the gown. The bride carried a classic dome bouquet featuring fall colored mango cala lilies, circus roses, green bell of Ireland, safari sunset, lady slipper oncidiums orchids, fugi mums, red hypericum berries and feathery leaves.
Mary Jo Moore was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Keen, Heather Bass, Lauren Stevens, Kasie Braswell and Heather Smith. Jacob Tingen was the ringbearer.
Durwood Earl Myers served as best man. Groomsmen were Dylan Myers, Landon Myers, Stephen Rhodes, Bryan Price, Robert Gurley and Matt Johnson. Caroline Norris was the flower girl.
Catherine Bennett directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Mr. and Mrs. Ken Banks. and Jacob Tingen, Beverly Weeks, Jay Sauls, vocalist.
Following the ceremoney, guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The occasion was completed with a formal dinner and dancing. The cake was ivory with multi-shaped tiers with brown, copper and champagne embellishments, as well as with monograming, feathers and an one-of-a-kind broach pendant.
After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina, followed by a
honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, in December, the couple will reside at 1111 Braswell Road.
Events prior to the ceremony included a shower hosted by the bride’s parents at the home of Jo Carroll at Emerald Isle, and a shower by friends and family at the Brick Village in Goldsboro.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Barbecue Pitt on the grounds of Rose Hill Plantation on Sept. 16.
