Sassorossi - Newton
Margaret Caroline Newton of Washington, D.C., and William Scott Sassorossi of Washington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 14 at 6 p.m. in Frances “Sunny” Newton’s garden in Beaufort, with Bryan Fujimoto officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Everette S. Newton of Beaufort and Tamre Hodge Newton of Arlington, Va., and the granddaughter of Frances Newton and the late John Newton of Beaufort and the late Harmon and Barbara Hodge of Manitou, Ky.
She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2002 and East Carolina University in 2006. She is employed as a coordinator with external affairs at Rio Tinto.
The groom is the son of Jeff T. and Beverly Ann Sassorossi of West Lebanon, N.H., and the grandson of Elmo and Norma Sassorossi and the late Samuel and Doris Darling of Barre, Vt.
He graduated from Syracuse University in 2005. He is employed as a player development coordinator with the NFL Players Association.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
Tara Juliard was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Bobbi Newton and C.J. Yerage, sisters of the bride, an Krissy Sassorossi, sister of the groom.
Kyle Morse was the best man.
Groomsmen were Stevie Waltien, cousin of the groom, Adam Walker and Logan Eisenberg.
The couple will take a wedding trip in September to Paris and Corsica, France. They reside in Washington.
