Deanna Naudus of Fayetteville and Benjamin Gufford of Wilson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 9 at 10 a.m. on the beach in Pine Knoll Shores, with pastor Israel Campbell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Karen Naudus of Fayetteville and Joseph and Anita Naudus of Cary and the granddaughter of the late Robert and Helen Williams and the late Alexander and Katherine Naudus.

She attends Fayetteville Community College for a medical coding degree and Central Carolina Community College for an esthetician certification.

The groom is the son of Ben and Ann Gufford of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Ben and Selma Davis Gufford and the late Leo and Maxine Summerlin.

He is a 1999 and 2000 graduate of Barton College with bachelor’s degrees in ceramics and graphic design and a 2005 graduate of East Carolina University with an art teaching license. He is employed with Wilson County Schools.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of white chiffon with beaded straps highlighted with a beaded appliqué at the waist of the left side of the tapered A-line skirt. It had a beaded strap down the back to the waist with a 64-inch train.

Her headpiece was a beaded tiara with a fingertip veil.

Heather DeSorbo was her cousin’s maid of honor.

Ruthe Naudus, sister-in-law of the bride, and Brigitta Strauch, sister of the groom, were the bridesmaids.

Ben Gufford was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Joe Naudus and John Naudus, brothers of the bride.

Cad DeSorbo was the ringbearer.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the North Carolina Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores.

After their wedding trip to Pine Knoll Shores, the couple will reside in Wilson.

Events held before the wedding included a shower hosted by co-workers at Stantonsburg Elementary school; a miscellaneous shower hosted by Carolyn Biggs and family; and a miscellaneous shower hosted by Ruthe Naudus.
