WINTERVILLE — Adrienne Lynch Allen and Jason Adam Britt exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 6 at 8 p.m. at the home of Fenner and Thelma Allen, grandparents of the bride, with Marty Anderson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Fenner Leslie Allen III and Kay Lynch Allen of Winterville and the granddaughter of Fenner Leslie Allen Jr. and Thelma Jones Allen of Winterville and the late Patrick and Katie Wade Lynch of Seven Springs.
She is a 2005 graduate of South Central High School in Winterville and a 2009 graduate of Campbell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. She is employed as a high school history teacher at Wayne Early/Middle College High School.
The groom is the son of Donald Ray and Joy Hudson Britt of Seven Springs and the grandson of Julia Batchelor and the late Tommy Britt of Kinston and Arthur and Edna Adams Rice and the late Robert Hudson of Seven Springs.
He is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2003 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in agricultural business. He is employed with Crop Production Services in Clinton.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless, beaded lace trumpet dress with a shirred tulle bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a sweep train with a fingertip-length veil.
The bride carried cream-colored roses and hydrangeas.
Leslie Allen Geisler was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amy Allen Smith and Ivy Jo Allen Daniels, sisters of the bride; Ashley Janelle Allen and Tyndall Jones Brock, cousins of the bride; and Gina Nicole Hughes and Jennifer Hughes Edmisten, sisters of the groom.
Donald Ray Britt was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Joseph Morgan Price, John Ashley Whitfield, Jonathan Patrick Keith Barwick, Larry Chadwick Shivar, Jeremy Steven Williams, Jeremy Lin Price, Brandon Douglas Brock and James Carey Rouse.
Honorary attendants were Robert Cole Daniels, Clayton Leslie Daniels, Jarrett Gage Smith, Tate Allen Smith and Gunnar Hahn Geisler, nephews of the bride; Ada Katelyn Geisler, niece of the bride; and Addison Grace Edmisten, niece of the groom.
Emily Grace Allen was flower girl.
Kathryn Pate Allen and Nichole Jennings Allen directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Melissa Ann Psaltis and Amy Pass Sumerlin, friends of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Paige Vickory Barwick, violinist.
Following the ceremony, a poolside reception was held at the home of the bride’s grandparents.
After their wedding trip to St. Thomas, US Virgin Island, the couple will reside in Seven Springs.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party in October at Sleepy Creek Clubhouse hosted by family of the groom; a tool shower in February hosted by Larry and Joy Williams and Linwood and Linda Price; a stock-the-pantry shower/party in April hosted by Chad and Christy Shivar; and a bridal shower in April hosted by friends and family of the groom.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the pool house of the bride’s grandparents.
