Rhodes - Waddell
Tiffany Michelle Rhodes and Malcolm Lee Waddell exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony on July 11 at 7 p.m. at Adamsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Wiggins officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David and Debbie Rhodes of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Carroll and Grace Rhodes of Plymouth and the late Andrew Leon and Mary Louise Shepard of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1996 and attended Wayne Community College for three years and graduated from Greene Community College in phlebotomy in 2003. She is employed as an assistant manager with McDonald’s in Wilson.
The groom is the son of Dallas and Jackie Taylor of Bailey, and the grandson of the late Jack and Margaret Ellis of Richlands, and the late Willie and Sallie Taylor of Wilson.
He graduated from Hunt High School in Wilson in 2000. He is employed as an assistant manager with McDonald’s in Rocky Mount.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an imperial satin gown from Venus Bridal featuring a square neckline with side shirring at the waistline finished off with embroidered lace appliqués in the center. The shirt showcased vertical beaded rows of seed beads, crystals and pearls cascading from the waist downward on the front and the back, which fell into a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a tiara with shoulder-length veil.
The bride carried a hand-tied garden-style bouquet of white roses, calla lilies and blue chrysanthemum tied with white satin.
Jennifer Stamatis of Washington, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Karen Jordan of Texas, sister of the groom, Becky Edgerton of Nahunta, friend of the bride, and Joy Evans of Lucama, friend of the bride.
Ray Evans of Lucama, friend of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Dallas Taylor of Bailey, father of the groom, DJ Jordan of Texas, brother-in-law of the groom, and Tim Stamatis of Washington, brother-in-law of the bride.
Alyssa Waddell of Wilson, daughter of the groom, was the flower girl. She was escorted by Hunter Waddell, son of the groom. Wyatt Stamatis of Washington, nephew of the bride, was ringer bearer.
Haley Waddell of Wilson, daughter of the groom, and Zack Jordan, nephew of the groom, and Taylor Grace Jordan, niece of the groom, were special helpers.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Cordts of Goldsboro and Amber Boise of Princeton.
Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception directed by the bride’s aunts and cousins in the fellowship hall at the church.
After a trip to Wrightsville Beach the couple now resides in Sims.
Events held before the wedding included a brunch and miscellaneous shower at Adamsville Baptist Church given by the bride’s aunts and cousins; a lingerie shower at the home of the bride’s mother hosted by the bride’s sister, Jennifer Stamatis; and the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner July 10 at Adamsville Baptist Church.
