Murphy - Herring
PINK HILL — Mary Anne Herring and Bradley Scott Murphy exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 16 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Craft officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph Herring Jr. and Jennifer Bryan Herring of Albertson and the granddaughter of Ann Howard Herring and the late Eugene Herring of Albertson and Danny Bryan and the late Evelyn Robinson Bryan of White Oak.
She is a 2006 graduate of East Duplin High School and attends James Sprunt Community College for a degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a cashier at R-Mart in Albertson.
The groom is the son of Grayling Murphy and Sandra Murphy Stroud of Albertson and the grandson of Dixie Murphy and the late John Murphy of Albertson and Ruth Butts and the late Ralph Butts of Deep Run.
He is a 2000 graduate of East Duplin High School. He is employed with Murphy Family Farms in Albertson.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father and hergrandfather.
She wore a sweep train taffeta gown with a halter style V-neckline and a ruched bodice.
Her headpiece was a diamond clip.
The bride carried a bouquet of long-stemmed ravel roses, accented with zebra print ribbon.
Kayla Lanier was her cousin’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Leslie Kennedy and Ashley Bradley.
Grayling Murphy was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Jason Murphy, brother of the groom, and Stacy Riggleman.
Pauline King directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Connie Lanier. Edna Smith distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Robin Wiggins, pianist, and Blair Mozingo, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents and grandparents hosted a reception at the Country Squire Restaurant and Winery in Warsaw.
After a wedding trip to the Grand Cayman Islands, the couple resides in Albertson.
Events held before the wedding included a pantry shower April 19 at the Murphy home in Albertson hosted by Morris and Linda Murphy and Beverly Britt; a bridal shower April 26 at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church fellowship hall hosted by friends and family; and a a bachelorette party May 9 at the home of the bride hosted by Kayla Lanier, Ashley Bradley and Leslie Kennedy.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 15 at Mike’s Farm in Beulaville.
