Byrd - Fields
Bobbi Lynne Fields of Goldsboro and Samuel Edward Byrd of Auburn, N.Y., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 20 at 3 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with the Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby H. Fields of Pikeville and the granddaughter of the late William Wright Fields and Zilphia Velena Gurley of Goldsboro.
She attended Rosewood High School and graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and a MAEd in instructional technology. She is employed as a first-grade teacher.
The groom is the son of Lloyd Pinkard Byrd Jr. and Anne Marie Byrd of Auburn and the grandson of the late Lloyd Pinkard Byrd Sr. and Alice Jones Byrd of Bassett, Va., and Mrs. Francis Pisciotti and the late Mr. Pisciotti of Auburn.
He attended Auburn High School. He is employed as a delivery supervisor with Mim’s Distributing Co.
The bride was given in marriage by father.
She wore a satin ivory pickup gown with a beaded and embroidered peridot sash.
Her headpiece was a fingertip veil outlined in peridot-colored trim.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis stuffed with peridot pearls in the center.
Paige Shepard was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Beth Wade, Janie Byrd and Mrs. Alex Priddy.
Jason Byrd and Robbie Byrd were best men.
Groomsmen were Michael Fields, Mike Guido, Luis Cruz and Sandy Lamarre.
Alexandra VanMeir was the junior bridesmaid.
Elizabeth Fox Baroody was flower girl. Miles Fox Baroody was ringbearer.
Jeff Cannon directed the wedding. Oliver Miles Baroody distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rick Thorton.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.
The couple resides in Raleigh.
