Lynch-Johnson
Erin Leigh Johnson of Wake Forest and Keith James Lynch of Wake Forest exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 19 at 6 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church, with Pastor Bill Garner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Mark and Annette Parker Johnson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Reginald David and Gladys Virginia Johnson of Snow Hill, Ruth M. Brown of Goldsboro and the late Harris C. Toler of Princeton.
She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. She is employed as a biology teacher at Franklinton High School.
The groom is the son of Larry Lee and Barbara Eileen Lynch of Colorado Springs, Colo., and the grandson of Mary Lynch of Fly Creek, N.Y., and James W. Button and the late Martha Button of Woodbury, Minn.
He graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and Mount Olive College with a degree in business administration. He is employed as a business/marketing teacher and coach at Wake Forest Rolesville High School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of Italian satin and Alencon lace. The fitted bodice was embellished with lace, seed pearls and sequins. The off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline was outlined in pearls and sequins. The A-line floor-length satin skirt and chapel-length train were flanked with garlands of beaded lace and beaded lace motifs bordered in scalloped beaded Alencon lace.
She wore a headpiece and a veil.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of lilies and roses.
Allison Johnson was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Bethany Nay, Caroline Cogdell, Sarah Aimone and Samantha McLamb.
Joseph Higginbotham was best man.
Groomsmen were Kevin Lynch, Kyle Lynch, Russ Redd and Chad Davis.
Ushers were Ashley Warwick, Ricky Childs and Patrick Marshall.
Austin Keith was ringbearer.
Pat Callahan directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kathryn Wessell. Lindsay Scoggins distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Timothy Price, pianist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Sunset Beach, the couple reside in Wake Forest.
Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon July 18 at Benjamin W. Best Country Inn and Carriage House hosted by aunts of the bride; a manicure brunch July 18 at Headdress Salon hosted by Sherrie Cogdell; a lingerie shower and bachelorette weekend June 14 in Wilmington hosted by the bridesmaids; a bridal shower June 7 at the home of Pat Callahan hosted by Mrs. Callahan; an engagement party May 17 at the home of the couple hosted by the bride’s parents; a bridal shower March 20 hosted by the Lynch family and a bachelor weekend in Wilmington.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
