Poole - Bullock
PINE LEVEL — Marsha Renee Bullock of Goldsboro and Joey Dean Poole exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 3 at 5 p.m. at Hinnant Family Vineyards, with the Rev. Thurman Horney officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rex Bullock of Clarendon and Cecilia Finison of Snow Hill, the stepdaughter of William Finison and the granddaughter of J. C. and Dalma Bullock of Clarendon and Mollie King and the late Rev. W.R. King of Sneads Ferry.
She is a 1996 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She is employed at Lowe’s Home Improvement and Sam’s Club.
The groom is the son of Jay and Lynn Fail of Pikeville, the grandson of C.B. and Laura Fail of Pikeville and Brenda Woodson of Clarkesville, Va., and the great-grandson of the late Cordell and Mildred Francis of Brook Neal, Va.
He is a 2002 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2005 graduate of Wayne Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in criminal justice. He attends Mount Olive College for a degree in criminal justice. He is employed with the state of North Carolina.
The bride was escorted by Doug Durham and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a a formal gown of ivory silk taffeta with a strapless neckline with pleating draped from the embroidered and beaded accents along the fitted bodice. The mermaid-style skirt flowed into the semi-cathedral train enhanced with embroidery and beaded accents.
She wore a headpiece of Swarovski crystals.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white hydrangeas with ivory ribbon wrapped around the stems.
Rexann Durham and Amy Bonifas were their sister’s matrons of honor.
Johanna Windham, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
Jay Fail, father of the groom, and Josh Poole, brother of the groom, were best men.
Jason Finison, brother of the bride, was the groomsman.
Brandon Windham, brother in-law of the groom, was the usher.
Alexandria Durham, Lanie Bonifas and Macy Durham, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Boadie Bonifas, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Honorary ring bearer was Jayce Poole, nephew of the groom.
Sherry McDonald directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Evangeline Vandiford. Jamie Smith and Stacy Keel distributed programs.
Betty Durham, friend of the bride, was a speaker.
A program of wedding music was provided by D.J. Coles, vocalist, and Jennifer Heim, violinist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hinnant Family Vineyards. Ashley Strickland and Scarlett Stanley, cousins of the bride, cut the cake.
The couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon April 26 at Pupetta’s Italian Restaurant hosted by Shery McDonald, Kelli Schatzman and Stacy Keel; a bridal shower April 19 hosted by Johanna Windham, Kelly Poole, Kim Evans and Lynn Fail; a “big hair” girls’ night April 18 hosted by Jamie Smith, Stacy Keel and Evangeline Vandiford; and a bridal shower April 12 hosted by Rexann Durham and Amy Bonifas.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at their home.
