Sebastianelli - Kearney
RALEIGH — Heather Renee´ Kearney and Jeffrey Douglas Sebastianelli exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and Father David McBriar officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Brodie Lee and Sue Bradshaw Kearney of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Betty Scott of Goldsboro, the late Brodie Milton Kearney, the late James Henderson and Laura Whitfield Bradshaw.
She is a graduate of East Carolina University. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is employed as an elementary teacher at Wake County Public Schools.
The groom is the son of Douglas Anthony and Pauline Joan Sebastianelli of Raleigh and the grandson of Carmela Marie of Cranston, R. I., the late Anthony Alphonse Sebastianelli and the late Raymond Emile and Albina Florence Berube.
He graduated from East Carolina University with a master’s degree in psychology. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is employed as a project manager at Castle Worldwide.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless ivory gown of dupioni silk with a fitted bodice with scattered beading throughout the skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a fingertip-length tulle veil with scattered pearls.
The bride carried a round bouquet of white stephanotis and white hydrangeas.
Elizabeth Hott was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Christen Botros, Tracey Drake, Stephanie Gross, April Herring, Emily Martin, Robin Morton, Kim Mosley, Melissa Sebastianelli and Melissa Treadwell.
Russell Johnson was best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew Benton, Michael Ferrell, Jonah Livingston, John Mehdian, Shannon Murphy, David Shaw, Josh Smith, Owen Wagner and Ty Watt.
Raechel Mosley, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Brody Morton, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Sherll Barnes and Beverly Saunders directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Eric Elmore. Ryan and Courtney Oswald distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Eugene Pipas, pianist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon Oct. 27 at Nofo of Raleigh hosted by Sherll Barnes, Kathy Johnson, Phyllis Parrish and the bride’s mother; a bachelorette weekend Sept. 1 through 3 in Wilmington hosted by friends; a bachelor weekend Sept. 1 through 3 in Key West, Fla., hosted by friends; a couples’ shower Aug. 19 in Raleigh hosted by friends of the couple; a miscellaneous bridal shower July 23 in Greenville hosted by Kim Mosley, Robin Morton, Marilyn Lanier and Heather Eveleth; a dining and entertaining shower April 1 in Raleigh hosted by friends of the couple; and a miscellaneous shower at Lynn Road Elementary School of Raleigh.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 27 at Five Eighteen West Italian Cafe´ in Raleigh.
