Coor - Wilson
Jennifer Rose Wilson and Joseph Allen Coor exchanged marriage vows May 20 at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Jack Sauls officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Trinity Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Cheryl Walker Wilson and the late James Lamont Wilson of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Betty Taylor Walker, the late Max Boyd Walker and the late Marion Daniels and Eleanor Parks Wilson of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Douglas Harold and Barbara Mozingo Coor of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Margie Bryan Mozingo and Norwood D. Mozingo of LaGrange and Cecil Harold and Mattie Evans Coor of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her mother and brother, Daniel Wilson and escorted by her brother, the bride wore a white whisper chiffon strapless A-line gown. The bodice featured crystal and pearl beadwork accented with an asymmetrical-wrapped waistline. The flowing A-line skirt was decorated with a band of matching beadwork along the hem. It had a chapel-length train and a beaded chiffon stole.
She chose a headpiece decorated with crystals and pearls with a pearl-accented veil. She carried an assortment of calla lilies and other flowers accented with greenery.
Alicia Leeper was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Crystal Peedin and Jessica Yates, cousins of the bride, and Casey Coor, sister of the groom.
Douglas Coor was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Dean Bass, brother of the groom, Mike Scrufari, cousin of the bride, and Steven Capps.
Brandy Zerkle was the honorary bridesmaid.
Rebecca Coor was flower girl. Bennett Hair was ring bearer.
Debbie Anderson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Hope Casey, cousin of the bride. Hope Fulton distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist, and Cindy Coor and Mr. and Mrs. Jason Cox, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She attends Wayne Community College for a bachelor’s degree in special education. She is a member of Elroy Volunteer Fire Department. She is employed as a waitress at McCall’s Barbecue and Seafood.
The groom graduated from Spring Creek High School in 2003 and from Wayne Community College in 2005 with an Associate in Applied Science degree. He is a member of Elroy Volunteer Fire Department. He is employed as a delivery specialist with Pepsi Bottling Ventures.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Quality Inn’s banquet room.
On June 11, the couples Sunday school class of Trinity Baptist Church held a pantry shower.
A rehearsal dinner was held May 19 at Trinity Baptist Church fellowship hall.
On April 30, friends and family held a bridal shower at Trinity Church fellowship hall.
Alicia Leeper, Jessica Yates and Crystal Peedin held a lingerie shower March 31 at the home of the bride’s mother.
