Turner - Troublefield
WARSAW — Crystal Eileen Troublefield became the bride of Deshaune Dwight Turner Saturday, June 3, at noon.
The Rev. Levoin Troublefield, father of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Prayer of Faith Evangelical Church, assisted by the Rev. Charlie Howell.
Parents of the bride are the Rev. and Mrs. Levoin Troublefield of Warsaw.
Parents of the groom are Fannie Turner and Edward Fields of Henderson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Fields of Henderson.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown with a bossed-shaped neckline and a cathedral train of satin and beaded lace. The fitted sheer beaded bodice featured a dropped waist with princess seams. Lace motifs encrusted with pearls and sequins outlined the neckline and appliquéd the bodice and sleeves. Satin bridal buttons fastened the lace and sequin-ornamented scooped back.
For her headpiece, she chose a waltz-length tiered veil of lace embellished with pearls and outlined with satin trim attached to a crystal-adorned tiara. She carried a cascading crescent bouquet of lavender tea roses, lavender and white statice, baby’s breath, fern, white freenia and ivy.
Chickia Miller of Fayetteville, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kenisha Darden of Kinston and Latisha Teasley and Armecia White of Greensboro, friends of the bride; Jennifer Kaalund of Greenwich, Conn., and Kimberly Whitfield of Greenville, sisters of the bride; Ashley Whitfield of Greenville, niece of the bride; and Danielle McGowan of Durham, cousin of the bride.
Carlton Turner of Henderson was his cousin’s best man. Groomsmen were Eugene Austin, Darius Ragland and Harry Thorpe of Henderson, Kevin Henderson of Raleigh and Tracy Turner of Greensboro, cousins of the groom, and Larry Mann and Brandon Martin of Henderson, friends of the groom. Ushers were Eric David and Brandon White of Greensboro Brandon Sanders of High Point, friends of the groom.
Aniya Whitfield of Greenville, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Cristian Summers of Henderson, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Benjamin Sloan of Greensboro, nephew of the bride, was broom carrier.
Sonja Sloan, sister of the bride, and Eunice Hopkins, friend of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Teresa McGowan of Durham, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple is residing in Greensboro.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of James Kenan High School and a 2006 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing and early childhood development.
The groom graduated from Northern Vance High School of Henderson. He is employed as a store manager of Radio Shack of Martinsville, Va.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception at Duplin Commons. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Majors of Jacksonville and Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGowan and Mr. and Mrs. Dewro Williams of Warsaw, uncles and aunts of the bride, greeted guests. Hostesses were Lucy Mayes and Selena Moore of Kinston, friends of the bride’s family, and Beverly McGowan of Angier and Veronica Williams and Sheila Williams of Warsaw, cousins of the bride. A three-tiered wedding cake over a cascading fountain surrounded by eight miniature cakes was served.
Out-of-town guests were from Connecticut, Washington D.C., Mount Olive, Kinston, LaGrange, Greenville, Wilmington, Henderson, Snow Hill, Raleigh, High Point and Greensboro.
