Hagans - Lynn-Marie
Coreen Lynn-Marie of Goldsboro and Parrish Remon Hagans of Goldsboro were united in holy matrimony March 11 at 4 p.m.
Sonya Days officiated at the double-ring ceremony at St. Mark Church.
The bride is the daughter of Lynda Dunlap of Marysville, Calif., and Koohadad Hooshman-Parsi of Persia. She is the granddaughter of the late Larry and Barbara Guzman of Los Angeles, Calif.
The groom is the son of Frank and Deborah Hobbs of Goldsboro and George Hagans of Durham. He is the grandson of Wilbert and Jane Broadhurst and the late Leslie Wooten of Goldsboro and Queen Ester Swinson of Stantonsburg.
Given in marriage and escorted by her mother, the bride wore a formal gown with a tulle overlay of Alencon lace and a tulle overlay of Alencon lace wedding band collar accented with a sleeveless fitted bodice embellished with re-embroidered Alencon lace, pearls and sequins. The back bodice closed with English net adorned with satin-covered bridal buttons. The mermaid skirt cascaded into a semi-cathedral beaded train.
For her headpiece, she chose a rhinestone tiara with a floor-length veil. She carried a cascade of calla lilies.
TeBorah Rhodes, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Beth Butler of Sacramento, Calif., friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Angel Hagans, sister of the groom; Safornia Carroll of Knightdale and Kristie Whitfield, cousins of the groom; Quiwangee Holloman and Dawn Mills, friends of the bride; and Yolanda Bradley, friend of the couple.
Corey Hagans of Durham, brother of the groom, and Anthony Bryant, friend of the groom, were best men. Ushers were Jerry Broadhurst and Willie Capel of Brooklyn, N.Y., cousins of the groom, and Maurice Holloway, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Vance Best of Durham, Fernando Best of Winston-Salem, Jay Saunders and Dennis Robinson, friends of the groom, and Stephen McBride and Tamarcus Reid, cousins of the groom.
Genee’ Simms, daughter of the bride; Daisha Mitchell, niece of the groom; and Monika Jones of Knightdale, cousin of the groom; were junior bridesmaids. Kerron Howell, son of the groom; Jalin Spreuil, nephew of the groom; and Miguel Phillips of Knightdale, cousin of the groom, were junior groomsmen.
Tyona Moses, niece of the groom, and Deja Bryant, goddaughter of the groom, were flower girls. J.B. Rhodes IV and Tyric Moses, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.
Linda Sauls and Coreen Hagans directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Quashanna Holloman, friend of the bride. Crystal Hail-Michael, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.
Nona Kornegay was a personal assistant to the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kevin Alston, pianist and vocalist, and Tracey Alston and Shawn Best, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1989 graduate of Magnolia High School of California. She is co-owner and operator of Caleb’s Affordable Cleaning.
The groom graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1992. He is co-owner of Caleb’s Affordable Cleaning.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in Dillard Alumni building. Hostesses were Angela and Shecora Sheffield, friends of the bride, and Ebony Hagans, sister of the groom.
On March 10, a bridal shower was held at the home of Angel Hagans.
A Mary Kay party was held March 1 at the home of the bride.
