Weaver - Smith
DOBBERSVILLE — Michelle Smith became the bride of Jay H. Weaver Dec. 9 at 5 p.m.
Dr. Lily Chou officiated at the private double-ring ceremony at Brownings United Methodist Church.
Parents of the bride are Hiram E. Jr. and Wanda Harrell Smith of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of the late Hubert and Kathleen Joyner Harrell of Mount Olive and the late Hiram E. and Thelma Smith of Meadow.
Margaret Harris Weaver and the late Joe L. Weaver of Mount Olive are parents of the groom.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Katlyn Hargrove, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Will Hargrove, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Lily Chou, pianist.
The couple is residing in Grantham.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 1996 graduate of East Carolina University. She is employed as a reimbursement officer with O’Berry Center.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School. He is self-employed at Weaver Hog Farm.
A pig picking was held Dec. 31.
