Turner - Myers
GREENVILLE — Meredith Ann Myers and Daniel Allen Turner were united in holy matrimony Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
Rick Bailey officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Memorial Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Nora Myers of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of retired Col. James and Billie Myers and Rose Stanfield of Goldsboro and the late Norman Stanfield.
Parents of the groom are Mitch and Carol Turner of Greenville. He is the grandson of Lettie Turner of Durham, the late Charles Turner and the late Woodrow and Dinah Haddock.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a one-piece strapless chiffon gown embellished with swarovski crystals, bugle beads and seed pearls. It had three layers of silk chiffon and an A-line skirt with a corset back and a sweep train.
For her headpiece, she chose a cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and rust freesia.
Clarissa Florio of Round Lake, Ill., friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Tara Myers of Greenville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Neely Tugwell of Atlanta, Ga., Sara Brown of Bessemer, Ala., Jana Ingals of Chocowinity and Dana Panepinto of Fuquay-Varinia, friends of the bride.
Mitch Turner was his son’s best man. Ushers were Barnes Cole of Greenville, Bryan Sims of Simpson, Chris Smith of Raleigh and Paul Shelton of Wilson, friends of the groom; Scotty Turner of Greenville, brother of the groom; and Theirry Almendarez of Greenville.
Megan Turner of Greenville, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Zachary and Lucas Thoma of Greenville, friends of the bride, were junior groomsmen.
Dynah and Miranda Turner of Greenville, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Weston Myers of Greenville, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
J.D. Myers, cousin of the bride, was the acolyte. Cindy Myers of Wilson, aunt of the bride, was a special helper.
Debrah Bradshaw directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Brandi Walston of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, and Erika Leicht, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Sims of Greenville, friend of the groom.
After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Greenville.
The bride is a graduate of East Carolina University. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She is employed as a dental receptionist with Dr. Paul Manning.
The groom graduated from J.H. Rose High School. He served in the Air Force. He is employed as a parts manager with Kia-Suzuki of Greenville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hilton.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal luau Sept. 23.
Jefferson United Methodist Church fellowship circle held a bridal shower.
Carol, Tressa and Terrie Turner held a Pampered Chef shower.
Tara Myers held a lingerie shower.
Cindy Myers held a bed and bath shower.
Ray and Joanna Myers held a couple’s shower.
Faye Barefoot held a shower and pig picking.
Tara Myers held a bachelorette weekend in Emerald Isle.
Rose Stanfield and Billie Myers, grandmothers of the bride, held a bridal breakfast.
