Kirk - Cenate
KNIGHTDALE — Victoria Ann Cenate of Knightdale and Jonathan Drew Kirk pledged their marriage vows May 21 at 4 p.m.
Judy Johnson officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Edward V. Jr. and Evelyn Cenate of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late J.D. and Eugenia Smith and Edward V. Sr. and Helen Cenate of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Charles Fred and Margaret Forbis Kirk of Knightdale. He is the grandson of Arlene Forbis and the late Ben Forbis of Raleigh and Edith Kirk and the late Wilber Kirk of Knightdale.
Given in marriage by her parents and grandfather and escorted by her grandfather, the bride wore a strapless ivory satin gown with an A-line bodice with a full back.
For her headpiece, she chose a silver tiara with a satin one-tiered veil. She carried a hand-tied lavender rose bouquet.
Carmen Mangum, friend, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Linda Kirk, sister-in-law of the groom, and Lisa Cenate and Nikki Johnson, cousins of the bride.
Charles Fred Kirk was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Bryan Kirk, brother of the groom, and Tim Davis and Jamie Hare, friends of the couple.
Ashley Cenate, half-sister of the bride, was flower girl. Jonatha Gage Kirk, son of the couple, was ring bearer.
Martha Lloyd directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Danna Cenate. Anna Lloyd distributed programs.
The couple is residing in Knightdale.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is a homemaker.
The groom attended East Wake High School. He is employed as a landscaper with Sig’s Landscaping and a body piercer withSkin Grafix.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
Carmen Mangum, friend of the couple, held a bridal shower April 2 at the home of the couple.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner.
