Lee - Coley
MOUNT OLIVE — Morgan Kareen Coley became the wife of Christopher Bradley Lee June 4 at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Douglass Bartlett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bryant Coley of Mount Olive are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Coley of Dudley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Sutton of Mount Olive.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William Earl Lee of Faison. He is the grandson of Gladys Lee and the late John W. Lee of Faison and Ida Hall of Colonial Heights, Va.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an organza strapless gown with a bodice adorned with iridescent pearl-beaded appliqués wrapped to the side at the waist with the same beaded appliqués on the A-line skirt. It had a beaded French lace-trimmed skirt and a beaded chapel-length train with lace.
For her headpiece, she chose a double-tiered elbow-length veil with iridescent pearl beaded appliqués. She carried a cascading bouquet of tiger lilies, orchids, lilies, spray roses and purple statice adorned with pearls.
Ashley Lane of Mount Olive, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Sutton and Ashley Elaine Sutton of Mount Olive, cousins of the bride; Kim Lee of Faison, sister-in-law of the groom; and Erin King and Ashley Graham of Mount Olive and Donnarie Mills of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.
William Earl Lee was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Dwayne Lee of Mount Olive and Jason Lee of Faison, brothers of the groom; Casey Anderson of Faison, cousin of the groom; Joshua Coley of Mount Olive, brother of the bride; and Lee Swinson and Ken Overton of Mount Olive, friends of the groom.
Madeline Swinson, cousin of the bride, and Hannah Lee, niece of the groom, were flower girls. Hayden Lee, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Kristie Lee, sister-in-law of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Patricia Coley, aunt of the bride. Ashley Elizabeth Sutton, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carol Herring, pianist; Clay Davis, sound coordinataor; and Hannah Smith and Randy Cashwell, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple will reside in Faison.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of North Duplin Junior Senior High School. She attends the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. She is a member of the SNCAE and Kappa Delta Pi.
The groom graduated from North Duplin Junior Senior High School in 1995 and Mount Olive College in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is self-employed with William E. Lee and Sons Trucking of Faison.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Cindy Johnson and Janice Miller, aunts of the bride, cut the wedding cake and poured punch. Ken and Cheryl Sutton, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Anne Bartlett, aunt of the groom, was director.
On June 3, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the Country Squire Restaurant.
William and Roxanne Lee and Jason and Kim Lee held a cookout May 21 at the home of Jason and Kim Lee.
On May 15, Anne Bartlett, Jean Anderson and the women’s ministries of Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church held a floating bridal shower at the church.
Kim Lee and Kristie Lee held a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 14 at the Bistro at Duplin Winery.
William Lee, Dwayne Lee and Jason Lee held a bachelor weekend deep sea fishing trip May 14 out of Morehead City
On May 7, Ashley Lane and Erin King held a lingerie shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Cottle.
Windy Broughton and Johnnie Hughes held a floating bridal shower March 5 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On Dec. 5, Teresa and Katie Swinson held a Christmas shower at the home of Lee Swinson.
