RALEIGH — Lisa Michelle Crawford of Raleigh and Michael Edward Searle of Fuquay-Varina exchanged promises Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m.
The Rev. Danny Smith officiated at the double-ring garden ceremony at Fred Fletcher Park.
Parents of the bride are Barbara McFatter of Raleigh and the late Earl Denning Crawford Jr. of Goldsboro and the stepdaughter of the late J.C. McFatter of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Corrine Lewis and the late J. Dallas Lewis of Dudley and the late Margaret Crawford and the late Earl Denning Crawford Sr. of Goldsboro and the stepgranddaughter of Pearl McFatter and Alex McFatter of Goldsboro.
Parents o the groom are Sharon Reynolds of Raleigh and David Searle of West Monroe, N.Y. He is the grandson of Mary Babikian and Robert Babikian of Pennellville, N.Y.
Given in marriage by her brother and escorted by Jonathan Crawford, the bride wore an ivory matte satin A-line gown with a portrait neckline. The bodice was decorated with a beaded sequin, crystal and rhinestone embroidery. The skirt had a Basque waistline and flowed into a semi-cathedral train.
She carried a bouquet of black baccara roses, Annabelle hydrangeas and hypericum berries.
Lori Jones, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor.
Bruce Henrion was his brother-in-law’s best man. Ushers were Jonathan Crawford, brother of the bride, and Scott Johnson, godbrother of the bride.
Honorary attendants were Colleen Jones, Angie Joyner, Leticia Lewis, Colleen Smith, Daylan Wiggs and Kelly Wiggs, cousins of the bride.
Olivia Henrion, niece of the groom, and Meredith Jones, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.
Monique Warmus, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Michelle Myers, friend of the bride. Austin Warmus, cousin of the groom, and Paige Warmus, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.
David Joyner, cousin of the bride, was Scripture reader.
A program of wedding music was provided by the North Carolina String.
After a wedding trip, the couple is residing in Fuquay-Varina.
The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Barton College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as labor and delivery nurse at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital.
The groom graduated from Baldwinsville High School of New York and Onondaga Community College of New York with a business degree. He is employed as an engineer at MCI.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Borden Building of Fred Fletcher Park. Eugene and Carolyn Lewis and Allen and Dale Lewis, uncles and aunts of the bride, greeted guests. Margey Smith, aunt of the bride, was wedding cake attendant. Daniel Smith, cousin of the bride, distributed favors.
Out-of-town guests were from Atlantic Beach, Clayton, Charlotte, Dudley, Mount Olive, Pikeville, Southern Pines, Townsville, Goldsboro and New York.
The groom’s mother; Margaret Searle and Mary Henrion, sisters of the groom; and Bruce Henrion, brother-in-law of the groom, held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 15 at Dakota Grill of Raleigh. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
On Oct. 9, Monique Warmus, aunt of the groom, held a bridal luncheon at her home in Raleigh. The bride chose this time to present gift to her attendants.
Friends of the groom held a bachelor weekend Oct. 2.
On Sept.. 25, Lori Jones, Angie Joyner, Leticia Lewis and Kelly Wiggs, cousins of the bride, and Carolyn Lewis and Dale Lewis, aunts of the bride, held a miscellaneous bridal shower at the home of Leticia Lewis of Goldsboro.
Jennifer Johnson, friend of the bride, held a get-away weekend Sept. 25 in Atlantic Beach.
On Sept. 11, Margey Smith, aunt of the bride, and Colleen Smith, cousin of the bride, held a miscellaneous bridal shower at their home in Goldsboro.
