Kathryn Lynn McClenny of Wilmington and Richard Neil Frederick of Wilmington exchanged promises June 26 at 4 p.m.
Dr. Hufham officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Patricia McClenny of Jacksonville, Fla., and Bill McClenny of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Hattie McClenny of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Roxanne Holloman of Washington and Rick Frederick of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Al Arlin of Fresno, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Frederick of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage and escorted by her parents, the bride wore a white formal A-line gown with a strapless neckline with pearl beading throughout and a chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a comb of pearl clusters attached to a two-tiered veil. She carried a bundle of six white calla lilies tied with a white satin ribbon.
Cynthia McClenny, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Keri Birch and Misty Thomas, cousins of the bride, and Jennifer Hart and Sarah Ponzi, friends of the bride.
Ty Frederick was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were David Frederick, uncle of the groom; Jackson Frederick and Clint Winslow, cousins of the groom; and Rick Frederick, father of the groom. Ushers were Shawn Corbet and David Paul Flowers, friends of the couple.
Lindsay Pacheco, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Jacob Brady, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Beth Brady, cousin of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Natalie Winslow, cousin of the groom. Rachael Pacheco and Carolyn Elmore distributed programs.
Richard Farris, uncle of the bride, and Suzanne Pacheco, cousin of the bride, were Scripture readers.
A program of wedding music was provided by David Periconi, organist; Ty Frederick and Carolton Frederick, vocalists; David Frederick, bass guitarist; and Rick Frederick, lead guitarist.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Wilmington.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a third grade teacher at Gregory Elementary School.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1994. He attended Pitt Community College. He is employed as a landscaper with Sea Coast Landscaping.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
On June 25, Jo Frederick, grandmother of the groom, held a bridal luncheon at the Royal Tea Rooms.
Co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower in May in Wilmington.
In April, the bride’s family held a shower at a relative’s home in Jacksonville.
Reita and Jennifer Hart, friends of the bride, held a miscellaneous shower March 13 at their home in Goldsboro.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Madison’s Prime Rib and Steak.
