Barnes - Anderson
Bettie Renee Anderson of Goldsboro and Chadwick Brian Barnes pledged their marriage vows April 17 at 4 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Betty Anderson of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of the late Herman and Minnie Anderson and the late Cullen and Mary Price of Mount Olive.
Howard and Gail Barnes of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Cecil and Liz Barnes of Wilson, the late Clifton Taylor and Joyce Taylor of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white matte satin A-line gown with a tulle overlay. The scooped neckline bodice with illusion bell sleeves featured re-embroidered Alencon lace appliqués accented with seed pearls and sequins. The A-line skirt featured matching re-embroidered Alencon lace and flowed into a chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered fingertip veil of silk illusion with seed pearls. She carried a clutch bouquet of ivory and white roses.
LaDelle Smothers was matron of honor. Chelsea Anderson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shelle Anderson, Beth Barnes, Amanda Harrison, Shanna Hood and Holly Price.
Howard Barnes Jr. was best man. Ushers were Keith Anderson and Mark Anderson. Groomsmen were Keith Anderson, Mark Anderson, Joe Martikke, Bret Strickland, Darian Smith and Trey Labrecque.
Jenna Harrison was flower girl.
Pam Ginn directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Kaye Howell.
A program of wedding music was provided by Camille Frederick, pianist, and Bill Therell and Chuck Arnold, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Wayne Christian School. She is employed with Wayne County Emergency Services.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1993 and Wayne Community College in 1995 with an associate’s degree in turfgrass management. He is employed as an assistant superintendent with the city of Goldsboro golf course.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Kim Anderson poured punch. Amy Head served the wedding cake.
On April 17, Bret Strickland held a lawn and garden breakfast.
Dawn Anderson and LaDelle Smothers held a household shower March 28.
On March 14, ladies of Saulston United Methodist Church held a household shower.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Saulston United Methodist Church.
