Mozingo-Ostheim
Christel Joy Ostheim and Graham Patrick Mozingo were united in holy matrimony Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. Billy Rose officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Keith Ostheim of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Quinn of Mount Olive and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ostheim of Florida.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Patrick Mozingo of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William “Pat” Mozingo and the late Mr. and Mrs. Graham Faircloth of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white matte satin with a cathedral-length train defined by beaded Venise lace motifs. It was fashioned with a lace halter neckline embellished with pearls and iridescent beads and sequins. Beaded lace appliqués covered the princess bodice with pearls and sequins that enhanced the A-line skirt.
For her headpiece, she chose a silver tiara accented with rhinestone flowers, brushed satin leaves and iridescent clear gems that matched her necklace and earrings. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses hand tied with sheer ribbon.
Amber Ostheim, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jaime Malpass, friend of the bride, and Tara Best, sister of the groom.
Larry Mozingo was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Garrett Ostheim, brother of the bride, and Michael Best, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Jeremy Anderson and Chad Strickland, friends of the groom.
Chesney Best, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Patrick and Tyler Best, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.
Phyllis Parrish, friend of the couple, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Donna Snair and Shari Jones, friends of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carolyn Castania, pianist, and Jeane Forehand, Kim David and Greg Clark, friends of the couple, vocalists.
After a wedding cruise to the eastern Caribbean, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of North Duplin Junior Senior High School and North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She is employed with Duplin County Schools as a science teacher.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School. He is employed as a retail wireless consultant with U.S. Cellular.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the church ministry training center. Mr. and Mrs. Facie Weeks and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boyette greeted guests. Sylvia Quinn, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Peggy Quinn, Pat Johnson and Sheila Howard, aunts of the groom, served beverages. The Rev. and Mrs. Cutty Peacock were directors.
On April 16, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Co-workers of the bride held a surprise kitchen shower April 11 at North Duplin Junior Senior High School.
On April 2, the bridesmaids held a bachelorette dinner at Oliver’s of Mount Olive.
On March 11, the bridesmaids held a dinner and lingerie shower at the future home of the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Quinn, grandparents of the bride, held a floating brunch and miscellaneous shower Feb. 21 at their home.
On Feb. 8, the First Pentecostal Holiness Church women’s ministry circle of Dorothy Brock and Linda Lassiter held a miscellaneous shower at the church.
Tara Best, sister of the groom, held a Christmas shower Nov. 22 at her home.
