Broadway-Curran
WINSTON-SALEM — Lisa Michelle Curran of Winston-Salem and Garry Linn Broadway of Winston-Salem were married April 17 at 4 p.m.
Dr. Michael Brown officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Centenary United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Cynthia Whitener Shaw of Blowing Rock and Joseph E. Curran Jr. of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde W. Whitener and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Curran Sr.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Broadway.
The bride was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, Brandon Curran.
Dana Wilmoth was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Ridenhour, Tonya Young and Jan Hanes.
David Bailey was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Terry Carter, Tham Hanes and Ian Jacobs.
Jacklyne Broadway, daughter of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
Margie Cashion and Susan Armstrong directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Casey Keaton. Brittany Keaton distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ray Ebert, organist, and Joey Hipps, vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to the southern Caribbean, the couple will reside in Winston-Salem.
The bride is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She is employed as an information technology project manager with Wachovia Bank.
The groom is employed as a park supervisor with Forsyth County Parks and Recreation.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge.
On April 16, the couple held a barbecue rehearsal dinner at Triad Park.
Paula Reavis, sister of the groom, and Auburn Bailey, sister-in-law of the groom, held a bridal shower April 4.
On March 6, the bridesmaids held a bridal shower.
