PIKEVILLE — Adell Louise Wallace and Jeffrey Michael Bailey of Pikeville pledged their marriage vows Feb. 14 at 3 p.m.
Pastor Glenn Mills and the Rev. Timothy Creel officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pike’s Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Parents of the bride are David Hardy Wallace and Julia Carol Pate of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mary Louise Mozingo and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee Wallace of Goldsboro.
Joseph Lee Sr. and Gloria Kay Barnette Bailey of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Faye Bailey of Pikeville, the late Durwood Bailey and Jesse and Jean Barnette of Pikeville.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with long sleeves and a fitted bodice adorned with Battenburg lace and pearl beading. The ballgown skirt and cathedral-length train had detailed appliqués at the hemline.
For her headpiece, she chose a hair wrap with Alencon lace attached to a satin-trimmed two-tiered veil. She carried red roses.
Ashley Grider was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Bailey, Stephanie Wallace and Tammy Wallace, sisters-in-law.
Joseph Lee Bailey Sr. was best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Lee Bailey Jr., brother of the groom, Wilton Thomas Bailey and Troy Edwin Jernigan Jr.
MaKayla Wallace, sister of the bride, and Cheyenne Wallace, daughter of the bride, were honorary bridesmaids. Aaron Pate, brother of the bride, was honorary groomsman.
Grace Bailey was flower girl. Austin Wallace, son of the bride, was ring bearer.
Joyce Cotton directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Rebecca Perry.
A program of wedding music was provided by Anne Gurley, organist, and Terry Wallace and Susan Scott, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple will reside in Pikeville.
The bride attended Rosewood High School. She is pursuing a degree in phlebotomy. She is employed as a daycare one-year-old teacher at First Baptist Church Daycare Center.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed at Wayne Community College.
Following the ceremony, friends and family held a reception at the church fellowship hall.
On Feb. 14, the groom’s family held a bridesmaids’ breakfast.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Feb. 13.
On Feb. 9, First Baptist Church Daycare employees held a pantry and recipe shower.
Stephanie and Tammy Wallace, sisters-in-law of the bride, held a lingerie party Feb. 7.
On Jan. 24, Randy and Terry Wallace, brothers of the bride, held a lawn and garden shower.
The women’s fellowship of Highest Praise Tabernacle Church held a shower Jan. 23.
On Jan. 11, Pike’s Crossroad Church held a shower.
The groom’s family held a Christmas shower Dec. 27.
