Parish-Crawford
Melissa R. Crawford and David W. Parish of Goldsboro were wed Dec. 27 at 4 p.m.
Pastor Don Sauls officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Albert Ray Crawford Sr. and Connie Smith Crawford of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Nadine Thomas, the late William C. Smith and the late W.T. and Pearl Crawford.
The groom is the son of James Glenn Parish II and Annette Elizabeth Parish of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Glenn Parish, Ola Inez Sumler and the late Albert Sumler.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white grande ball wedding gown with iridescents, pearls and Alencon lace. It had a sweetheart neckline with a V-shaped back and a cathedral-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip white veil accented with sequins and pearls. She carried a cascading white rose bouquet tipped in eucalyptus.
Sylvia Adams of Eufaula, Ala., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Skylar Crawford, Sherry Taylor and Linda Howell.
Jim Parish was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Gray Crawford, Danny Parish and Doug Sutton.
Brittia Crawford, Katie Crawford and Ariel Crawford were flower girls. Jordan Taylor was ring bearer.
After a wedding trip, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Mitchell’s Hair Styling Academy. She is owner of Casual Cuts Hair Salon.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1978. He is employed by Pepsi Bottling Co.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
Vickie Quinn, friend of the bride’s family, held a girls’ night out at the home of the bride.
