BOYS' GOLF: Jones shoots 77

Charles B. Aycock's Bryce Jones earned medalist honors with a 5-over-par 77 during a multi-team meet played at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons posted a four-player total of 326 that included 18-hole scoring rounds from Carl Floars (80), Ty Daniels (84) and Jake Flowers (85). Austin Green also shot an 85, while Evan Aycock fired a 92.
Joey Democko carded an 82 to help Wayne Country Day finish second overall in the team portion with a 347. Mitch Debowsky toured the course with an 85, followed by Kenneth Wiggins (87) and Kelly Lewis (93). Hayes Gerrard and John Thompson also played.
Led by Drew Grady's 88, meet host Eastern Wayne generated a 377. Noah Forrester filed a 91. Justin Whaley and Justin Edwards supplied scores of 97 and 101, respectively. Nathan Coker, Max Tapiz and Dominic Cmarik also teed up for the Warriors.
Micaiah Singletary led Wayne Christian's charge with a 108. The Eagles ended up with a team total of 438 that included a 105 from Drake Wise and a 112 from Braxton Flores. Will Gibson and Darden Bynum each shot a 113. Adam Grady charted a 119.
Cameron Anderson (94) and Bryce Garner (108) represented Goldsboro.
Cameron Klages toted an 85 for Rosewood. Teammates Noah Grantham and Dawson Overby shot 112 and 117, respectively.
