BASEBALL: Princeton shuts out Goldsboro

PRINCETON -- Tanner Flowers hurled a one-hitter as Princeton handed Goldsboro a 16-0, mercy-rule loss on Friday evening.
Flowers posted three hits, including a double, at the plate.
Colby Sullivan delivered one inning of two-strikeout relief.
Luke Braswell turned in a three-hit outing, while Nathan Ramby doubled. The Bulldogs collected nine hits as a team and benefited from five Cougar errors.
Brody Morton had Goldsboro's lone hit.
Starting pitcher Matt Lewis and reliever Cameron Roux held PHS scoreless for 12/3 innings.
