Wayne County Amateur Junior Tour
Nine-hole stroke-play begins at 5:30. Golfers will earn points at each nine-hole tournament. The final tournament will culminate with a trophy presentation and casual meal.

Coach Gills' Basketball Camp
• June 13-16 -- Registration is June 13 from 7:30-8 a.m. at Greenwood Middle School. The camp hours are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (Monday-Wednesday) and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (Thursday). The camp is open for boys and girls ages 5- to-16-years-old. The fee is $60 and a family discount is available. For more information, call 919-252-1646 or 252-525-8281.
University of Mount Olive
Baseball Camps
• June 13-16 -- A Little League camp is open for boys and girls ages 7- to 12-years-old. The registration fee is $100.
• July 18-20 -- An instructional camp will be conducted for players ages 9- to 14-years-old. The registration fee is $225.
• July 25-27 -- A prospect/instructional camp is open for high school players in grades nine through 12. The registration fee is $225.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot in any of the camps. Campers may also pay the entire registration fee on the first day.

Summers Academy Soccer Camp
• June 13-16 -- Camp runs Monday-Thursday from 6-8 p.m. for rising eighth-graders through seniors. The fee is $65.
• June 20-23 -- Camp runs Monday-Thursday and is broken down into two sessions. Players ages 5- to 14-years-old can participate in the half-day session from 9 a.m.-noon or the full-day session from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The half-day fee is $80 and the full-day fee is $120.
• June 27-30 -- Camp runs Monday-Thursday and is open to players ages 5- to 14-years-old. The half-day session runs from 9 a.m.-noon and the fee is $80. The full-day camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and the fee is $120.
• July 25-28 -- A half-day camp is available to rising eighth graders through seniors. It runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon and the registration fee is $80.
Summers is conducting mini soccer camps June 20-22 and June 27-29 for players ages 1- to 6-years-old. The fee is $40. The camp runs each day from 6-7 p.m.

Grand Slam Baseball Camp
• June 14-16 -- The three-day camp, now in its 25th season, is open for players ages 6- to 12-years-old. The camp runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon. Eastern Wayne Baseball Camp
• June 20-24 -- The 20-year-old camp runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon and is open for players ages 7- to 14-years-old. The fee is $80 per player, $130 for two players from the same family or $70 per player if there are three or more to register from either a summer or fall team. The camp is limited to 80 players. The five-day clinic is designed to help each participant to better understand and play the game of baseball. Through the teaching of fundamentals and strategies, the camp should aid the youngster in developing his skills by individual instruction and group drills. The areas of instruction include proper mechanics in hitting, throwing, catching, pitching, outfield play, infield play and base running. The camp staff includes the Eastern Wayne HS coaches, past and present players and other high school coaches.
YMCA British Soccer Camp
• June 20-24 -- The week-long camp, hosted by the Goldsboro Family Y, is open to participants ages 3- to 16-years-old. The fees range from $83 to $161 depending on the child's age. BSA Tuscarora Council Golf
Tournament
• June 23 -- Tournament is sponsored by Southco Distributing Company and will be contested at Walnut Creek Country Club. Registration is from 11:45-12:45 p.m. The entry fee is $60 per person and includes lunch, dinner and golf. Teams will play a 4-man superball with players designated as "A", "B", "C" and "D." The field is limited to 100 players. The top four teams will receive prizes along with the players are closest to the pin on certain holes throughout the course. Mount Olive Hurricanes
Football Camp
• June 25 -- The day-long free youth football skills and drills clinic runs from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Mount Olive Hurricanes Field. There is no registration fee. Pre-registration ends June 13. The camp is limited to 100 participants, who are required to bring the proper equipment -- T-shirts, shorts and football shoes/sneakers -- to participate. Instructors include Hurricanes coaches, local high school coaches and Greg Warren -- current long snapper for the Pittsburgh Steelers and a graduate of Southern Wayne High School. Basketball Fundamentals Camp
• June 27-30 -- Now in its 22nd year, the camp is open to boys and girls ages 6- to 17-years-old. The fee is $190, which includes lunch for three days, a T-shirt, accident insurance and special gifts. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot in the camp. The camp runs each day from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Campers receive specialized instruction in ball handling and fundamental skills from a staff of experienced high school and college coaches, and members of the men's UMO basketball team. • Session I -- July 18-21. Campers in grades 1-4 will participate from 9 a.m.-noon each day. Campers in grades 5-8 will participate from 1-4 p.m. The fee is $100, but $150 if the camper attends both sessions. Campers will receive a T-shirt.
• Session II -- July 25-28. Campers in grades 1-4 will participate from 9 a.m.-noon each day. Campers in grades 5-8 will participate from 1-4 p.m. The fee is $100, but $150 if the camper attends both sessions. Campers will receive a T-shirt.
Pre-registration requires a $40 non-refundable deposit and is due prior to the week of each camp. The remaining balance is due when the camper checks in at registration. Registration is 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Eastern NC Officials Association
• Clinics for prospective officials begin June 28 and continue through the second week of August. Officials are required to attend six clinics (a total of 12 hours), one state clinic (June 27 at Farmville Central High School) and one Association meeting (also June 27 at FCHS). Additional requirements include registering with the N.C. High School Athletic Association and Eastern N.C. Athletic Officials Association. Youth Sports Camps
• Youth Fishing Camp I -- Runs June 13-17 and is open for children ages 6- to 16-years-old. The fee is $40. Campers will fish each day from 8 a.m.-noon in bodies of water throughout Lenoir, Wayne and Wilson counties.
• Youth Basketball Camp I & II -- Runs June 20-24 at the W.A. Foster Center and is open for children ages 4- to 8-years-old and 9- to 17-years-old. The fee is $40.
• Youth soccer camp -- Runs June 27-July 1 and is open for children ages 4- to 12-years-old. The fee is $40. Campers will play at the Fairview Soccer Complex from 8 a.m.-noon each day.
• Youth volleyball camp -- Runs July 11-15 and is open for children in grades six through nine. The fee is $40. Campers will play at the W.A. Foster Center from 9 a.m.-noon each day.
• Youth golf & tennis camp -- Runs July 11-15 and is open for children ages 5- to 16-years-old. Tennis camp will be conducted Monday-Wednesday and golf will be held Thursday-Friday. The fee is $40. The camp time is 9 a.m.-noon each day.
• Adventure Camp -- Limited registration is open for children ages 8- to 17-years-old. The fee is $60 and campers must provide their own bicycle. Camp time is 9 a.m.-until each day from July 18-22.
• Beach/Fishing Camp II -- Week-long camp runs July 25-29 and is available to children ages 7- to 17-years-old. The fee is $70. Campers will have the opportunity to explore different ponds and lakes.
• Advanced Golf Camp -- Open to prospective players ages 13- to 17-years-old and runs Aug. 1-5 at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course. The fee is $40 and the camp time 8 a.m.-noon each day.
