ECBL: WCDS cruises past Wilson Fike White

Ryan Hopes and Cole Brewer cranked out two hits apiece during Wayne Country Day's 5-1 conquest of Wilson Fike White on the Eastern Carolina Baseball League scene Thursday evening.
Aoha Godo, Tanner Willman, Case Kermode and John Gross provided one hit apiece.
Jack Talton started on the hill and earned the victory. He yielded an unearned run on five hits, retired three Fike batters on strikeouts and gave up one walk. Carnes Edmondson allowed one hit in one inning of relief. Kermode tossed one inning of one-hit, one-strike relief.
Boone Moody collected the save with one inning of two-strikeout relief.
The Chargers (3-1 overall) entertain Southern Wayne on Monday. First pitch is 5 p.m.
