* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 18, South Central 6 (5 inn.) -- South Central pushed across three first-inning runs which ended CBA's string of 26 consecutive scoreless innings. The Falcons extended their advantage to 6-5 after two innings before the Golden Falcons erupted for 13 runs during a three-inning stretch. Tyler Daniels batted 3-for-4 with a career-high eight RBI. Caleb Matthews delivered a three-hit, four-RBI outing. Blake Gipson and Nick Aycock each went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Jordan Gay threw the first inning. Frederick hurled four innings of six-hit, eight-strikeout relief. The Golden Falcons improved to 18-0 this season.
Middle schools
* Softball: Wayne Christian 18, Lee Christian 3 -- Abigail Kornegay, Leah Boswell and Haily Verme each cranked out a double during the Eagles' 14-hit attack. Verme threw a one-hitter and retired five Lee Christian batters on strikeouts inside the circle. Wayne Christian (6-4 overall) visits Crossroads Christian on Thursday.
