Local competitors dominate Carolina 1A meet

PRINCETON -- Rosewood's boys and Princeton's girls emerged as the top-performing teams during a Carolina 1-A Conference meet contested at Harvey Brooks Field.
The Eagle boys, the state 1-A runners-up last season, compiled 135 points -- including 85 in the running events. Princeton tallied 81 points, followed by Spring Creek (37) and Neuse Charter (18).
The Bulldog girls amassed 113 points. Rosewood and Neuse Charter collected 77 and 40 points, respectively.
