Goldsboro softball snaps 3-game skid

NEWTON GROVE -- Marcy Taylor logged five strikeouts inside the pitcher's and claimed the complete-game win as Goldsboro snapped a three-game skid with a 10-5, non-conference victory over Hobbton on Monday afternoon.
Taylor allowed three unearned runs.
Matti Rose Lyon powered the Cougars' offense with three hits and four RBI. Nikki Olmsted delivered three hits and three RBI. Riley Howell doubled and tripled, and scored two runs.
Dakota Jones registered two hits and two RBI.
The Cougars improved to 3-1 overall this season.
