Bulldogs defeat Panthers in 8 innings

PRINCETON -- Princeton pushed across the game-deciding run in the bottom of the eighth inning and handed county archrival North Johnston a 5-4 loss on Friday evening.
Nick Phillips emerged as the Bulldogs' offensive leader with three hits and two RBI. Tyler Ricks provided two hits and an RBI.
Michael Boyette started on the mound for PHS and worked 41/3 innings. Barton College signee Matt Daughtry recorded four strikeouts and earned the win with 32/3 innings of relief.
