Rosewood dumps Neuse Charter in straight sets

Lexi Mercer collected 15 kills during Rosewood's 25-16, 25-17, 25-15 conquest of Carolina 1-A Conference foe Neuse Charter on Tuesday afternoon.
Mercer served three aces for the Eagles, who improved to 11-7 overall and 8-3 against league opposition this season. Ada Rivera contributed a team-leading 115 assists, cranked out four kills and supplied three aces.
Tayzlie Tripple recorded eight kills. Hannah Daniels and Hailey Weeks combined for six kills and two aces. Macy Tyndall led the defense with five digs.
Rosewood had 37 kills as a team.
The Eagles travel to Spring Creek on Thursday.
