ECBL: Frederick's three-hit outing sparks Pikeville Orange

Luke Frederick delivered a strong offensive performance at the plate as Pikeville Orange handed North Lenoir Green a 5-1 loss in Eastern Carolina Baseball League play Monday evening.
Frederick batted 3-for-3, scored two runs and collected an RBI.
Nolan Harrell, Blake Gipson, Chandler Matthews (RBI), Cody Whaley(two RBI) and Seth Harrison contributed one hit apiece. Whaley doubled and walked.
Jordan Gay picked up the mound win. He permitted the lone run on two hits and retired four NL Green hitters on strikeouts. Gipson tossed 11/3 innings of two-hit, one-strikeout relief.
Orange entertains Eastern Wayne today at 6 p.m.
