Kinston upends Goldsboro in ECC 2A baseball

A six-run first inning for Kinston set the tone in 13-3 win over Goldsboro on the Eastern Carolina 2-A scene Tuesday evening.
Isaiah Core led the Cougars with two hits including a double. Sterling Dodson, Thomas Vick and Maurice Stokes each had one hit to round out the Goldsboro offense.
Stokes endured the loss on the mound. Goldsboro (1-14 overall, 0-7 ECC) plays host to Ayden-Grifton on Thursday.
