Princeton girls open season with win

PRINCETON -- Princeton didn't have a single player score in double figures, but was able to knock off Raleigh Charter 46-38 in its season-opening game Tuesday.
Charley Cox and Kelsey Peedin led the Bulldogs with eight points apiece. Freshman Emily Ricks scored seven points and added six rebounds, and Jackie Farrior chipped in six points.
Raleigh Charter's Christina Whetzel led all scorers with 10 points.
Princeton (1-0 overall) travels to Midway today.
