* Today -- Want to work off those Thanksgiving pounds? Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is making its links available to the soccer community with free foot golf green fee. Head pro Jody Dean said soccer players, who must wear soft-soled shoes, can play after 2 p.m. each day.
St. Luke UMC BBQ sale
* Dec. 5 -- BBQ plate sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 1608 Pine St. Plates are $8 each. Business delivery is available on orders for 5 or more plates.
