Zack Howard concluded the day 5-0 and Charles B. Aycock finished in the middle of the pack during the Eastern Wayne Team Duals.
Howard posted four pins and one decision for the Golden Falcons, who ended the duals 3-2 overall with victories over Clinton, host Eastern Wayne and county rival Goldsboro.
"Our first three matches went our way even though we had to give up a few weight classes," said second-year CBA head coach Ronnie Allen, whose team dropped decisions to Swansboro and Jack Britt.
"The last two teams (Swansboro, Britt) put a perspective on what we have to work on. We still have a long season ahead of us and I am looking forward to watching us get better with each match."
Aycock (4-2 overall) returns to action Tuesday at Princeton. The four-team dual also includes Neuse Charter and Southern Wayne.
Editor's note: Neither Eastern Wayne nor Goldsboro submitted match results to the News-Argus.
