SNOW HILL -- Perennial powerhouse Cardinal Gibbons dealt Greene Central a 9-0 loss on Thursday afternoon.
The Crusaders, ranked No. 1 in the state in 3-A, dropped just seven games between singles and doubles play throughout the match.
"Cardinal Gibbons truly deserves to be ranked No. 1 in the state in 3-A," Rams' head coach Donald Clark said. "They put on a clinic for us today in singles and doubles. Their players are so self-disciplined and consistent. Overall, I thought we played well."
Greene Central (9-3 overall) visits Tarboro on Tuesday.
