* WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock junior Tara Simmons carded a 1-over par 72 and earned medalist honors in the Jim Boykin Jr. High School Girls Invitational contested on a wet Wednesday afternoon at Willow Springs Country Club.

The Golden Falcons claimed the team title with a decisive 264-286 triumph over runner-up Southern Nash. Jordyn Howell and Jessie Stewart contributed to Aycock's title run with 18-hole rounds of 93 and 99.
