Grantham earns PBC academic accolade

PEMBROKE -- UNC Pembroke graduate Lynn Grantham earned a spot on the 2011 Peach Belt Conference All-Academicc softball team.
Grantham led the Braves with four home runs and 17 RBI, and started all 45 games. She finished second on the team with six doubles and 14 walks, and posted a .986 fielding average with just five errors in 347 total chances.
A Southern Wayne alum, Grantham had her best of the game of the season against Chowan when she batted 4-for-4, and swatted a grand slam home run. She concluded the day with six RBI.
A three-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll award winner, Grantham obtained a degree in exercise and sport management, and a minor in health production.
She is the daughter of George and Debra Grantham.
