Connolly swam the anchor leg on the Golden Falcons' 200 medley relay, which finished second behind Clinton. Savannah Sauls, Kylie Robertson and Taylor Bradshaw dueled on the first three legs for Aycock, which logged a time of 2:15.43.
Hobbs, the two-time defending state champion in 1-meter diving, collected 169 points in his first official meet of the season. He bested teammate Denzel Benjamin, who edged Southern Wayne's Jacob Sasser 122-121 for second place.
The Saints' foursome of Chad Davis, Christian Newberry, Sam Ferrell and Dylan Atwood emerged victorious in the boys' 400 free relay with a time of 4:08.22. Atwood ended up second behind Paul in the 200 free and placed third in the 100 free.
Davis was second in the 500 free.
Aycock's Sam Chastain claimed second in the 100 back, while Rosewood's Omar Atra was fourth overall in the boys' 100 breaststroke.
Eastern Wayne's Heather Black seized runner-up honors in the 200 IM and 100 free. Aycock's Taylor Bradshaw was third in the 100 free.
Clinton won the girls' team portion of the meet with 131 points. Aycock was second with 89 points, followed by Triton (86), South Johnston (62), Eastern Wayne (54), Cleveland (35), Midway (16), Southern Wayne (8), Rosewood (8) and Goldsboro (3).
Triton took the boys' meet with 110 points. Goldsboro ended up second with 90 points. Clinton (81), Southern Wayne (78), C.B. Aycock (64), Eastern Wayne (58), South Johnston (33), Cleveland (11) and Rosewood (5) rounded out the field.
