Coaches tab Trojans sixth in poll

MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive College women's soccer team has been selected to finish sixth in the preseason Conference Carolinas poll, released Thursday morning.
The Trojans collected 60 points and were just three points out of fourth place.
Defending champion Belmont Abbey received eight first-place votes from the league's 11 head coaches. The Crusaders, who advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament last season, return 15 players.
Pfeiffer earned two first-place votes and ended up second in the poll. Queens picked up the other first-place nod.
Completing the poll, in order, were Limestone, Erskine, MOC, Lees-McRae, Barton, Converse, St. Andrews and Coker (S.C.) College.
