WCS boys triumph

HENDERSON -- Josh Magnus, Justin Brathwaite and Connor Jones rounded out the top three spots in the boys' race on Thursday as Wayne Christian split a tri-meet with Kerr-Vance Academy and Faith Christian of Rocky Mount.
Noah Kearney and Mark Sawyer also finished in the top-10 for the Eagles. Wayne Christian compiled 21 points to finish ahead of Kerr-Vance Academy's 40 and Faith Christian's 66.
The Eagles' Jennifer Price finished first in the girls' race with a time of 24:01, but Faith's team score of 33 was good enough for first place. Kerr-Vance was second with 36 points and Wayne Christian finished third with 51.
