PIKEVILLE -- East Duplin captured four singles points en route to a 7-2 victory over Charles B. Aycock on Thursday.
Hollie Baker and Harlie Howard each scored a singles point for the Golden Falcons, who were promptly shut out in doubles action.
"We looked very sluggish and tired," Aycock head coach Brad Mathews said. "East Duplin really stepped up today and took advantage of our mistakes.
"We made a lot of unforced errors."
The Golden Falcons (1-2 overall) travel to Wilson to battle Fike on Wednesday.
