Carolina used a seven-run, fourth-inning uprising to knock off Mobile 12-4 at Five County Stadium on Wednesday evening.
It was the Mudcats' fifth straight win.
Tied at 1-1 after 3 1/2 innings, Carolina parlayed three singles, two doubles and a triple into seven runs in the fourth. Chris Coghlan had two RBI in the inning.
The Mudcats lead Tennessee by 5 1/2 games in second-half play.
