K-Tribe shut out by Pelicans

Myrtle Beach erupted for three first-inning runs and cruised to a 4-0 shutout over Kinston at historic Grainger Stadium.
The K-Tribe bullpen allowed just one run over the next 8 1/3 innings.
Beau Mills led Kinston with two hits and extended his Carolina League-leading home on-base streak to 33 consecutive games.
The series continues today.
