Kinston capitalized on two seventh-inning balks and turned back Wilmington 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Tied at 3-3, Nick Weglarz drew a lead-off walk and advanced to second on the balk call. Matt McBride singled to put runners on the corners, and Weglarz scored when Blue Rocks reliever Henry Barrera was called for his second balk.
Beau Mills and Ryan Goleski each homered for Kinston, which returns home today for a three-game series against Myrtle Beach.
