WC South dominates West Craven

VANCEBORO -- Wayne County South locked up a first round bye in the Area I/II Central Conference playoffs with a 14-3 victory at West Craven on Monday night.
Jordan Hood, Scott Holloman (RBI), Kevin Wise (RBI) and Dontay Boseman each had two hits.
Raymond Velazquez worked 1 1/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit with three walks. Will Broadwell also pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing a run on two hits with six strikeouts and two walks. Matt Neal struck ot five in two innings of work.
Wayne County South (13-5, 12-4 Area I/II Central) travels to Farmville Central tonight and will begin conference playoff action on July 15.
