Huntsville rolls past Carolina

Alcides Escobar missed hitting for the cycle as Huntsville hammered Carolina 8-1 at Five County Stadium on Thursday evening.
Escobar singled, doubled and homered in a 3-for-6, three-RBI effort.
Stars pitcher Brae Wright (6-6) permitted just six hits and one run in an eight-inning stint. The Stars improved to 5-4 in second-half play, while the Mudcats dropped to 4-5.
The series continues today.
